War or Peace-What's the Vision

A discussion on the conflict in the Middle East recently raised questions in my mind about the seemingly endless amount of time it takes to resolve disputes through war, especially where there are substantial cultural differences. I had to ask myself, 'if war works so well, why does it never end?'

Freedom or Tyranny, Our Choice

I am listening to Bob Dylan's 'Knockin' On Heaven's Door', as my mind is drawn to the brave people in Iran who are struggling for their freedom, and who must feel Heaven's Door very close at hand.

Where's the pony?

Occasionally an issue or topic will stir some emotion or passion. I've realized that just writing a few lines can help integrate the energy and settle uneasiness. So, I will avail myself of the opportunity to express some thoughts from time to time, seeking primarily my own sense of ease.

Merging Creationism and Evolution

The discussion of Creationism versus Evolution has captured the imagination for some time. Practical, scientific minded folk tend to believe Evolution is the way things develop over millions and billions of years, though they are hard pressed to definitively posit how it does this. Survival of the fittest is a good idea, but it doesn't explain how the fittest become that way, or what moves species to determine how they will deal with the competition they encounter.

Finding Opportunity Within the Crisis

It is obvious we are in the midst of a nationwide and probably worldwide financial crisis, which is unfolding and creating seemingly more chaos by the day.

Many of us have been experiencing our own levels of financial crisis for much of our lives. Some, perhaps born into more affluent circumstances or more skilled at manifesting prosperity, may only recently have learned what it’s like to take a huge financial loss. Still others may only begin to sense the idea of financial struggle by listening to the fears of friends and family, or by following the news.
