Spirit’s working overtime today. Apparently writing a newsletter earlier wasn’t enough.
It now seeks to focus your attention on what I call the Gap — the difference between the life you’ve got and the world as it is now, and the one you want.
This Gap is where we fight.
Our discontent with the status quo causes us to want more. To change that status quo into what we want requires us to do and be more.
Unfortunately, too often others want something else. And we’re all willing to fight to get our way.
So many questions arise in the Gap. Most of them are about us. Here are a few:
Until we answer them, our efforts in life rarely succeed in closing the Gap. For the Gap is within us and how we see ourselves and our lives, not in the condition of our outer world.
We can chase success. We can chase happiness. We can chase the things we think will bring them.
But the Gap will still be there, substituting a new set of goals for the ones already attained. And our dissatisfaction with life will continue to grow.
Until we do.
To find your peace, you need to understand the Gap in you and your life. Why it’s there. What it shows you about yourself. And how to use it to evolve a little closer to the Oneness at your core.
As always, the journey starts and ends in you. Godspeed.
