Featuring One Planet United

For those interested in fostering better relations within your local community, we recommend you look at the work of Jack Bloomfield and Piero Falci at One Planet United.

One Planet United is a 501(c)3 charitable organization that puts on public events like an annual Faith in Music Concert featuring choirs from many of Coral Springs' houses of worship. Christian, Jew, Muslim, Hindu, Ba'hai, and more all come to sing their praises to God. Listening to the different presentations brings chills to the spine, and makes one realize how alike we all are. It is quite a thrilling event.

In addition, they host a spring event called Unity in Our Community, as well as put on many other local events in conjunction with the city's Multi-Cultural Committee. Last year Marianne Williamson came as the keynote speaker and helped make it a rousing success.

Every Saturday morning, Piero also hosts a silent Peace Walk. Starting at the Coral Springs Peace Garden, they walk silently for about 20-30 minutes before adjourning to a quiet breakfast among friends.

Jack's articles used to regularly appear at WhisperZone.org, though that had to stop when concern that our channeled contributions might taint Jack's work by association and keep mainstream educators from allowing OPU programs in public schools.

It was a start reminder that not everyone is ready to accept the possibility there is more than they think they know, a sort of tunnel vision that causes many to reject out of hand that which does not neatly align with their view of reality. Even to consider such things is blasphemy, triggering actions like censorship, book burnings, and other efforts to control the public mind.

Notwithstanding their reluctance to be associated with our sometime far-out views, Jack and friends nevertheless do good work with caring hearts. They set an example of local activity that bears consideration.

For those wondering how OPU got started, Jack began with a column for several years in a local community newspaper. One day while trying to figure out his future, Jack sat down quietly to write and was surprised to see that what came out was a detailed plan to start OPU.

Ironically, his charitable organization was started through a channeled message, yet fear of backlash from mainstream educators ended his association with channeled messages from other sources.

While OPU was Jack's idea, Piero was a good friend and deeply spiritual and peaceful person who helped him every step of the way. Though Piero chooses to stay in the background except for his peace walks, his teen age son Mateus speaks at many OPU events.

With a lot of love, not to mention hard work and the efforts of dedicated band of volunteers, Jack and Piero have done a great service to the Coral Springs community showing the way people can better get along.
