A Primer on What Reality Is and How It Works

I work with reality to expand myself as well as the world in which I live. Permit me to share some of my understandings in hopes they will assist you on your journey.

Reality is the totality of the outer world around us. We are not separate from that reality, but an integral part of it. We participate in, contribute to and experience that reality for a purpose as we explore this great 3-dimensional system of creation.

Discovering that purpose and how to use it is part of our journey through life. Our job is to live and experience the reality of the moment while simultaneously doing what we can to create the future we want or need.

For me, and perhaps for you, that means doing so in a way that not only serves me, but also makes the going easier for others and the world a better place.

Working with reality is much easier when we understand what's really going on. Here are some of the major points:

Basics

  • Everything is energy;
  • Energy is intelligence;
  • Energy forms reality; therefore reality has intelligence;
  • We create our own reality;
  • Reality is an illusion;
  • It is created to bring us the experiences we need and desire;
  • Those experiences are determined by our state of being and life plan, and that of the others whose lives touch ours;
  • Reality is presented through a series of situations experienced in linear fashion to provide the appearance of time, thus the term "linear reality;"
  • Linear reality is not the eternal reality experienced by the entity at our core, which we'll call the soul;
  • "This, too, shall pass" applies to all aspects of reality; it all is temporal and of limited duration -- every person, every situation and every effect;
  • The situations of reality may seem to have a beginning, a middle, and an end, but these states are in actuality only changes of form;
  • Reality exists first within us, moving from our subconscious realms into our consciousness into our outer reality and then into memory;
  • Situations whether in formation, process or memory can be changed;

The Role of Responsibility

  • Everything within our reality serves us; it is our responsibility to take from it what it offers;
  • We are responsible for EVERYTHING within our reality, both directly and indirectly, that affects us and how it does so;
  • We are responsible for EVERYTHING we think, feel, say or do or which we do not, that affects others and contributes to their reality;
  • We are responsible for EVERYTHING other people do that affects us, it being arranged (with us) to contribute to the experiences needed in our lives;
  • We are responsible for how we experience the situations within our reality and how we process them inside;
  • We are NOT responsible for how others experience their reality;
  • Others are NOT responsible for how we experience ours;

How it works

  • Every soul comes into this world through a personality infused with sufficient consciousness to create the experiences for which it incarnates;
  • The tools of consciousness are thought, emotion and action by which we interact with and create our reality;
  • With these tools we create our individual reality, and contribute to/participate in the common reality(ies) of others and our world;
  • These tools are directed by intention (or the lack of same), and amplified (or distorted) by inner conditions like fear, desire, beliefs, false images misunderstandings, perspectives and perceptions;
  • We each have an inner voice that "speaks" to guide us how to use these tools and what to create;
  • Reality is primarily created at a subconscious level, though we can override or reshape those efforts through our conscious use of intention and application of the tools at hand;
  • We can consciously gather and direct energy to create our reality;
  • By changing these factors and how we use them, we can change our reality;

Working with Reality

  • As an illusion it can be changed;
  • The energy that makes the illusion can be "re-tasked" after its purpose is fulfilled and the benefit received;
  • Situations will be recreated in various forms until we receive the value they offer;
  • Energy can be marshaled and directed as needed;
  • We can consciously gather and direct energy to create other experiences;
  • The energies of the dramas within reality can be overwhelming and exceed the needs of our souls
  • We can take pause within our reality to reconnect with our souls, and use those moments to set order again into our system;
  • These moments of silence restore us to a state in which we can better interact with and allow the energies to function as intended;
  • Reality will "do its thing" whether we allow it or not, though we can extend or shorten its duration by our means of engagement;
  • We can fight and struggle with and within our reality, or we can allow it to run its course and do our best to 1) minimize its adverse impacts; and 2) find the value even those "negative" situations offer;

Changing Common Reality

  • The common reality is a function of the individual and collective thoughts, emotions and actions of its component personalities, magnified and distorted by the inner conditions we have adopted;
  • We can recreate the common reality in the same way we impact our individual reality.

There are of course many nuances and approaches to all of the above, and many places along the way things can get bogged down.

Our programs and counseling are designed to help you with the "how to" so you can overcome those obstacles. This will, however, give you a good start.

Now, what will you do with it?
