Frustration of Service

Sometimes having the highest aspirations, clearest intentions, and most selfless effort isn't enough to make your service all you want it to be.

There are many reasons why efforts to serve don't have the desired effect, including:

  • people think you're trying to get something out of it;
  • they don't want to be helped, at least not they way you're trying;
  • it just isn't in the cards;
  • other things get in the way; and
  • some people, charities and service organizations will drain all you've got then look for more.

So what do you do? How do you approach it? Do you keep on trying in the same old way? Or do you search for other perspectives and ways to go about your efforts to serve?

The answer depends on you, and what's going on in your own evolutionary journey.
