Hi all Lightbearers and Peacemakers. Our director’s group met on Friday, October 2, 2009. The members present were Jill Rosenthal, Tim Kellis, Michael Black, John Dennison and Laura Dennison.

Today via teleconference Peace Options held its first director’s meeting. In attendance were Karl Nybergh, Jill Rosenthal, Tim Kellis, John Dennison and Laura Dennison.

Wow, the summer has quickly departed. For us here in South Florida, we are so grateful for our lovely weather except for our very hot and humid summers. Thank God, for no hurricanes for this year.

Today I will speak of possibility -- the possibility of what can be.

Our news is filled with conflict. Political battles. War. Terrorist attacks. Senseless violence. Predatory economics. Dogmatic doctrines that promote separation.

Last Thursday Lightbearers from all walks of life gathered to discuss matters of peace and conflict in our lives and world. Here are the minutes of that meeting.

Forgive me if I ramble a little today. Several random thoughts running through me that may or may not prove related.

First, my recent silence. I know I go through spurts when I don't have much to say, but this period was motivated less by a lack of inspiration than by my own questioning what I was doing.

This year took off like gangbusters, but suddenly the energy to continue offering training events dissipated. Maybe I have attention deficit syndrome. Or maybe that inner voice was telling me I should offer something more.

Have you ever tried to balance a rock on another one at impossible angles?

It's all about holding a space where they can align with each other's energies, just like when building community.

So many people are going through such difficult times. Losing their health, their homes, their jobs, even those they love.

What is our responsibility to them? Even if we don't have the ability to fix it, do we have a duty to try? After all, many of us feel compassion for them and want to ease their suffering.

On the other hand, we know that it is of their own creation (remember, we create it all). So who are we to interfere with what they have created to be experienced?

Wake up, people. Look around you. The world's changing, and the way it was isn't coming back.

A new consciousness is rising and it's calling you to do your part.

Well, it's not exactly new. The coals have been glowing for a while now, their light hidden in enclaves around the world waiting for its time.

Now that time has come, and what was once an ember is now being fanned into a flame -- a flame of truth, of justice, and of the inner way that so many are discovering within them.
