Principles and Practices
The Flow of Health and Vitality in the New World
Submitted by john on Wed, 11/12/2008 - 10:24The third leg of the Peace Pyramid is to focus on health and vitality, bringing balance to the wellness of our affairs.
This does not mean putting attention on that which we consider ill or diseased, or otherwise not functioning in an appropriate manner. Those are simply symptoms of a system that is out of balance.
The manner of restoring that balance is to find the flow of energy within the system, and identify and address those areas where that flow is obstructed or redirected.

Relationship and the Awakening Server
Submitted by john on Tue, 11/11/2008 - 11:04Today I will focus on the server's relationship to his or her reality. The practice of this focus is the second point of the base of the Peace Pyramid.
Relationship is not something limited to the romantic sense of loving affairs between two human beings. Rather, it refers to the relative position, perspective, and means of interaction by which we engage all aspects of our reality -- especially the other people who cross our path.

What Are You Creating?
Submitted by john on Fri, 10/31/2008 - 12:46We each create the lives we live, both alone and in conjunction with all the souls who help to create the world around us with which we interact.
When we speak of building a New World, understand that it would be nice to recreate the entire planet earth and the civilizations and cultures upon it. But truly, that is not our concern.
Nor should it be yours, either.

Social Networking and the New Economy
Submitted by john on Sat, 10/18/2008 - 15:17I'm not sure about this whole social networking thing.
People connecting with people I understand. It's the way some are trying to use it to build their businesses that troubles me.
And frankly, that's the part that bothers me. Because the way they're using it isn't consistent with the principles and practices I've glimpsed for the New World.
Just this week I got a call from an acquaintance who started her own social network as part of a larger project. It's been open nearly a year now and I hadn't joined.

Equivalent Exchange of Value
Submitted by john on Tue, 10/14/2008 - 16:27Doing business in the New World will involve shifting into new, more loving forms of commerce. One of these is available for us to begin using today. It involves a blend of traditional pricing practices with the New Age "love donation."
I call it an equivalent exchange of value.
Equivalent exchange isn't giving without expectation of return. Rather, it is freely giving of oneself with the understanding that the recipient will give in return a value equivalent to that which is received.

The Lord's Prayer - Direct Translation
Submitted by admin on Mon, 10/13/2008 - 22:12Here's a translation I was given of the prayer direct from Aramaic to English:
*******
"O cosmic Birther of all radiance and vibration!
Soften the ground of our being and carve out a space within us where[in] your Presence can abide.
"Fill us with your creativity so that we may be empowered to bear the fruit of your mission.
"Let each of our actions bear fruit in accordance with our desire.
"Endow us with the wisdom to produce and share what each being needs to grow and flourish.
Giving to Get
Submitted by john on Thu, 10/09/2008 - 12:06There are many difficulties to overcome if we are to build this new world. One of the biggest involves the concept of giving.
Giving in its highest form is unconditional, done without expectation of receiving anything in return. It is a wonderful practice.
We give because we have received God's love. And like all love, it means so much more when we share it with others.
Make no mistake. This is where I hope all will get to. However, that is not where we are today. And so now we must find a way to deal with what is until we can get to where we want to be.

Want to Come Along?
Submitted by john on Wed, 10/01/2008 - 09:04
For a long while I've said I don't want any followers. And I mean it.
Too often those who suggest ways to see and move to a better world are put up on a pedestal. History is replete with gurus, teachers and leaders of all kinds who became part of the problem instead of the cure.
Don't worry. That's not me.
I'm just an ordinary guy who sees things a little differently than most. And I'm content to go my own way, even if it means going it alone.
But it might make the journey a whole lot more fun to have some company, at least for a while.

A New Apostle's Creed
Submitted by john on Thu, 09/25/2008 - 13:03I was raised a Christian (Methodist, to be exact), each Sunday going to Sunday school and then church to learn the foundations of our religion and grow closer to God.
At the core of its teaching was a doctrine of belief passed down by all Christian churches of whatever stripe or color (Catholic included). It is called The Apostle's Creed.
It's time for a New Creed that can serve people of all traditions for the next 2000 years. You'll find it written below.
But first, let's honor the one that Christians have carried in their hearts throughout the centuries.
The Cosmic Evolution of Humanity
Submitted by john on Fri, 09/19/2008 - 08:25What is it that makes coming together with other awakening souls like ourselves so special? Why are we drawn together?
The short answer is to evolve. The long answer is somewhat more complex.
This is a turbulent time, both within us and within the world. It seems like everywhere we turn another “storm” is roaring through our world, tearing up the comfortable lives we've known.
