Part of a Whole

“A human being is part of the whole called by us universe. We experience ourselves, our thoughts and feelings as something separate from the rest -- a kind of optical delusion of consciousness.

"This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from the prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.

"The true value of a human being is determined by the measure and the sense in which they have obtained liberation from the self. We shall require a substantially new manner of thinking if humanity is to survive.”

- Albert Einstein

Getting Back to Business

The behind-the-scenes work is done, and it's time to tell you about what's up for 2010.

Political and Economic Analysis
First, we're going to spend much of this year focusing here at PeaceOptions on the outer manifestations of conflict in our political and economic arenas. Things are getting way too hot there to allow things to boil over without at least providing some perspective on what's going on, and how you can use what you're seeing to build a better tomorrow.

A New Year. New Dramas. A New Me?

Well, last year's done and gone, and it's time to leave the dramas of last year behind.

You'll remember I took the last couple weeks off to do my normal year-end assessment. Hopefully some of you did the same.

Anyway, in mine I looked at most areas of my life, especially the relationship between my health and my desire to share the inspirations that flow into me.

Taking a Break

If you don't hear from me for a while, not to worry. I'm taking a break to recharge the batteries and get clear on my intentions. It's part of a year-end review I do once in a while.

You Are the Conduit of Abundance

Siddartha (later known as the Buddha) would get up in the morning and ask himself, "Who can I teach today?" In that simple act he set the energy of his gifts in motion, allowing it to flow out to someone of need who would cross his path that day.

What's Heaven? What's Hell?

“My definitions of Heaven And Hell. Heaven: Being creative, relying upon your intuition and creating the lifestyle that you dream about. Hell: Believing you cannot do something. Thank you.”

- Abram

Speak from the Heart

“The best advice that you can give to someone is that which comes from the heart, not from anger, not from jealousy, not from frustration. Thank you.”

- Abram
