Election Recap - The Awakening of Consciousness
Submitted by john on Thu, 11/06/2008 - 08:30The election's over. Finally! Barack Obama has broken through, and it is a grand day indeed.
But I celebrate not for Obama and all the karmic and historic baggage that's been placed on his shoulders.
I celebrate for the expansion of consciousness that has finally poked its head through the fog into the public awareness.
Understand that this election was not about Obama or McCain. It was about consciousness awakening to the possibility it is more than we allow it to be.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
Breakfast at MacDonald's
Submitted by admin on Mon, 10/20/2008 - 17:26I don't do chain letters, but this is a story worth sharing. Whose life will you touch today?
This is a good story and is true, please read it all the way through until the end! (After the story, there are some very interesting facts!):
I am a mother of three (ages 14, 12, 3) and have recently completed my college degree.
The last class I had to take was Sociology.
The teacher was absolutely inspiring with the qualities that I wish every human being had been graced with.
Her last project of the term was called, 'Smile.'

Mother Teresa -- Servant of the Poor

The following is an excerpt of a profile on Mother Teresa.
On September 10, 1946, on the long train ride to Darjeeling where she was to go on a retreat and to recover from suspected tuberculosis, something happened. She had a life-changing encounter with the Living Presence of the Will of God. Mother Teresa recalls:
"I realized that I had the call to take care of the sick and the dying, the hungry, the naked, the homeless - to be God's Love in action to the poorest of the poor. That was the beginning of the Missionaries of Charity."
